Wind Mastery System E-Book

Description

Solve long range shooting’s biggest problem

Wind is what separates a hit from a miss at distance. Most shooters either guess, or they get buried in formulas and old Kentucky windage tricks that fall apart when the clock is running. The Wind Mastery System skips the rabbit holes and gives you a simple, repeatable process you can actually use in the field.

What you’ll learn

• Wind Speed: Read speed from environmental cues using a proven cue chart, and capture an accurate average with the Kestrel weather meter.
• Wind Direction: Use your sense of feel, the Kestrel impeller-stop method, and mirage to pinpoint exactly where the wind is coming from, and learn why direction matters more than speed.
• Wind Value: Turn speed and clock direction into a true wind value using sine values, with a simple rhyme to memorize them.
• Effective Wind: See how terrain bends, speeds up and redirects wind along the bullet’s path, and how to combine readings from the shooter, mid-range and the target into one call.
• Environmental Adjustments: Understand temperature, altitude, barometric pressure, humidity and density altitude, plus how to get DA from a Kestrel, an app or a paper chart.

Proven in the field

This isn’t theory. The book walks you through live range sessions, including first-round impacts at 435 and 590 yards, and a terrain exercise in the Black Hills that shows how wind changes from the shooter to the target.
